SHIP OVERVIEW

Set foot aboard the state-of-the-art Celebrity Xpedition® and be prepared for an experience like no other. This spacious 48-passenger vessel is the ship that first put Celebrity Cruises on the map in the Galápagos. Recent upgrades to this game-changing vessel added even more luxury, without sacrificing an ounce of authenticity. You’ll enjoy individualized indulgences, including room service, in-suite dining, complimentary plush bathrobes, a fitness room, nightly lectures by certified naturalists from the Galápagos National Park (who are on board the entire sailing), live music, and more. These are just some of the unique refinements and highly customized touches that make Celebrity Xpedition one of the most awarded ships in the Galápagos Islands.

<div>This was the first time my husband and I had ever booked a Celebrity cruise. We have taken numerous cruises over the years on other cruise lines but this one was by far the best we have ever taken. It was an all inclusive trip and from the moment we arrived in Quito until we left, we were treated like royalty. A trip to the Galapagos has been on my bucket list since I was in my early 20&#39;s and this trip was the dream come true. I especially wish to commend Andrea Mugge, Captain Pacheco, and Juan Diaz. ALL of the guides were excellent and we learned much about these unique islands from them. Every member of your staff we met was exceptional. Thanks for a very memorable experience.&nbsp;</div>

PROS

The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery. Loved the copy of all the pictures the naturalists took. Great food. Not a lot of entertainment but after a day of kijing on lava and boulders it was good to go to bed.

CONS

The climbs off the zodiac was really difficult at times. Walking on the lava is also difficult. When a person signs up it should be made clear that you need water shoes for the beach landings and that the dry landing are very difficult.

RECOMMENDED

Yes

In spite of the above we had a fabulous time in a beautiful area of the world. Celebrety had everything very well organized from the pick up at the airport to the return to the airport at the end.

PROS

Exceptional ship ship experience, great food, exceptional service, attention to detail, land extension awesome, shore excursions exceptional, knowledgable naturalists

CONS

RECOMMENDED

This is a trip in a lifetime. Celebrity does an exceptional job of catering to their clients and providing memorable experiences. The small ship experience provides personal attention and we now have friends for life. This type of vacation is jam packed with activities so understand that if you are exploring the Galapagos, be prepared for a high energy trip. The naturalists provide wonderful up close experiences and are extremely knowedgable. The post trip to Machu Picchu is not to be missed. The hotels and food was local and exceptional. All told, this was the best vacation ever.
