Yesexcellent cruise with so much to do on this ship. the food was excellent and the overall service on the ship was top notch. only went to the MDR twice for dinner and wasn’t too impressed so we ate at other dining options on the ship which were all excellent. Aqua 80 show is a must see! 4 stars for dining only because we didn’t care for the MDR but everywhere else was great food. 3 stars for cabin because the a/c was not cold and we were hot in our cabin every night and didn’t sleep well but the balcony rooms are clean and comfortable otherwise.

Ship is looking dated, service not as good as in the past, inconsistencies with bar serviceRECOMMENDED
YesOverall our current trip was wonderful. We really enjoyed the dining, activities, entertainers, and ports of call. The solarium and central park areas are always enjoyable to us for some solitude amongst so much going on. We also enjoy hanging out in the promenade area with all of the shops people watching and trying to resist Sorrentos pizza. The parades were fun as was the disco party night. The crew did a great job entertaining all of us. We wish the times in port could be longer as they seemed really short on this cruise. We enjoyed them all as much as time would allow. We dined at Chops and Park 150 which were both exquisite. Main dining was great as always with impeccable service. Quality of linens and cleanliness of stateroom could have been better. Also service to stateroom is lacking due to downsizing of staff. Boarding on and off went smooth and quick. I give the entire cruise a 4.5 out of 5.

YesUnbelievably efficient boarding and unboarding. We did both in less than 20 minutes, which considering we are boarding with 6,000 of our friends, was almost miraculous. The service and the food in the main dining room was terrific - friendly wait staff and great food. We had a little problem with the temperature in our room and they came quickly to correct it but it never worked quite right. The ship is so large and there is so much to do that one of the problems is that if you are traveling with others it requires careful planning because it is hard to contact anyone while on the ship.

Yes<div>We were a little nervous about being on a huge ship like this and thought we would wait in line for everything, but that was not the case. Lots of choices for food, so many bars, even getting on and off the ship was relatively easy compared to other ships. The adults only solarium, which has always been packed on every other ship, was not and we could always find a spot to sit. My Time dining I would not do again. People made reservations so we either had to come at 5:00 or 8:00. The main negative was the shows. If you didn't book before you got on the ship, you were not going to see a show.</div>

YesThe ship is wonderful. Full of great food, great service, and fun activities. Kids clubs were not my kids favorite. They only went to one session and couldn’t wait to get out of it. We knew to expect a lot of people so we weren’t surprised at how hard it was to find pool chairs on sea days. Lines were long at the flow rider, for the buffet breakfast area, and elevators. We knew we would have to be patient so it didn’t bother us. We loved having the same table in the main dining room every night. By the middle of our trip, our waiters knew our choice of drink and favorite desserts. Felt nice being taken care of like that. The Shore Excursions desk helped us find the perfect activities for port days. Highly recommend the Dragons Breath Zip Line in Haiti and the All Inclusive Dolphinarious in Cozumel. Our stateroom attendant was so flexible and kind. She even left fun towel animals each night which my children really looked forward to. We also had to meet up with the on ship doctor since most of us came down with a bad cold. She was so kind and compassionate and made us feel better. Overall, our trip was great and the ship was fun.

I had just called the ship to find out how to handle the situation, when it was discovered that we had a message from from one of the crew who helped us disembark. She had discovered it was left behind and personally called to say she would be sending it via Fed Ex to us. That is exceptional service. Exceptional is the only word that comes close to describing the experience on the Oasis of the Seas. The food, entertainment, shore excursions were all exceptional. Daily general information was lackingRECOMMENDED
YesIf I have one complaint about the Oasis of the Seas is that daily on board ship information was lacking. Yes a daily printed ship itinerary was given to each cabin, but on a ship as large as this just learning the 'lay of the land' can take a few days. With all the technology on board it would seem that a simple illuminated informational scroll ( similar to what is overhead in Times Square, NY City) could be installed near each elevator area. That way passengers could easily see what is going on, when it is happening, where it is occurring, and how to get there...

Excellent cabin and main dining room service, well designed and quiet cabin (D7 Ocean-view on Deck 9), multiple worthwhile evening shows, plentiful on-board activities and shore excursions, reliable VOOM wireless internet serviceCONS
Continual effort to up-sell—photo “opportunities” particularly annoying, lines and crowds almost everywhere on board and ashore, ho-hum foodRECOMMENDED
YesThis was our first large-ship cruise, only booked to accompany a community line-dance group, and perhaps should have “tested the cruise waters” on a smaller ship than Oasis of the seas. We were pleasantly surprised by the overall service and efficiency of both embarkation and disembarkation but dismayed by the crowds and lines everywhere—both on board the ship and for shore excursions. We were extremely impressed by the affordances of our cabin (D7 ocean view balcony)—not large but very well designed for movement, storage and comfort. Our cabin steward Antoine was highly responsive and unfailingly courteous. Food in the “free” venues was mediocre but plentiful, and our head server for evening meals was also outstanding. Both the ice show and aquatic show are not to be missed, and the comedy show was actually funny. Our biggest complaint was the continual effort to up-sell—we probably declined 100 offers to take our photograph with various props, and though I did not shop much, when I did the cashier inevitably gave me a card for another shop with his or her name on it as a referral. This is definitely a family oriented cruise—many, many kids of all ages on board, all of whom seemed to be enjoying themselves! We’re not likely to cruise again on a ship this size, but if that’s what you enjoy, RCI Oasis of the Seas is a good choice.

YesThis ship and it's sister ships have a ton of activities and dining choices and the crew & staff are courteous and attentive. That said, there are a ton of other cruisers on the ship as well and it gets a little crowded and noisy especially around the food venues and other common areas which can detract from a "relaxing" cruise experience. I think that serenity is more likely to be found on the smaller ships in the RC fleet. The carpets in our stateroom were showing some wear and probably need to be replaced.

We chose to eat dinner at 5:30 PM & most of the entertainment we wanted to see didn't start till much later in the evening. We used to be able to go a show/entertainment right after dinner. Also, Royals TV station selection leaves a lot to be desired. There should be more movie & sports channels to watch than what is now available, especially when spending time at sea! YesThere's lots to see & do on the ship of course, & the shops / restaurants are all very clean & well organized. The entire staff is very friendly & accommodating. The entertainment was good for the most part. The "Frozen" ice skating & the Christmas programs were excellent, but could be presented at an earlier time for those who select the early evening dinner option. YesWith at least Diamond status, this ship is great. Better yet, book a suite if you have no status and the perks are worth it. Otherwise, you may feel like a small cog in a giant machine. Lines for breakfast in the Windjammer start about 10 am. Eat earlier and there is no issue. Plenty of chaises on deck for sunning on upper decks, but those near the 4 pools are claimed early. The musical Cats should be outstanding. It is not. Other production shows are very good, including the Aqua show and ice show. Cabins are smaller than Royal Caribbean ships in the older classes. Look at the square footage dimensions given in the catalog. However, even with those negative comments, there is plenty to do or not do...your choice. I still recommend it. And for anyone fearing seasickness, this ship, and others in its class, are solid as a rock. Most days you feel NO movement at all.

Oasis is Royal's biggest ship right now and let me tell you it is absolutely amazing. There was so much to do that we were hardly in our cabin. It was my 10 yr olds first cruise and she fell in love with Cats. I highly recommend the backstage tour and Q & A with some of the performers!CONS
Having to decide what to do everyday was a challenge as I wanted to do it all. LolRECOMMENDED
YesI recommend getting the soda package if you have kids. Its worth the money. Get to the shows early to get a good seat. Especially if you want to sit in the front row for Cats. YesOUR EVENING DINING EXPERIENCE WAS FINE. THE DESSERTS WERE FAIR IN THE DINING ROOM AND POOR CHOICES IN THE CAFE PROMENADE. LUNCH ON SEA DAYS ON THE 3RD FLOOR ICON DINING ROOM WAS WONDERFUL. THE BUFFET WAS PLENTIFUL WITH GREAT CHOICES OF FOOD AND THE DESSERTS WERE SPECTACULAR, THE CAKES AND ICE CREAM. AS FAR AS THE DIAMOND PLUS ADVANTAGES, I FELT THAT IT WAS LACKING. WE HAD OUR "HAPPY HOUR" IN THE 4TH FLOOR JAZZ CLUB, WHICH WAS DARK, NO WINDOWS TO LOOK OUT AT THE SEA. THE 11, 12TH FLOOR AREAS WAS PACKED WITH DIAMOND MEMBERS. ALSO, I FELT LIKE WE WERE STANDING IN LINE EVERYDAY FOR SOMETHING, SHOWS, RESTAURANTS, HAPPY HOUR. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE A SHUTTLE ALSO FOR HANDICAP CRUISERS FROM THE SHIP TO TOWN IN THE BAHAMAS AND TO THE TAXIS ON ST THOMAS. WE CAUGHT ONE ON ST MARTIN BUT ONLY AFTER WE CLEARED THE SHIP AREA.

YesAlthough we enjoyed the ship very much, the endless lines and having to go to shows 45 minutes ahead of time to secure our "reserved seats" was not a pleasant experience. Food was better than we had previously experienced on RCCL but the Windjammer buffet area on deck 16 was obviously too small for the amount of passengers onboard the ship. Balcony cabin was the smallest we had ever had, small closet space, and the bathroom area was tiny with hardly any counter space.

YesCruises are nice vacations. They are also easy vacations. So I recommend them for families with children and older people looking for a nice and easy vacation. Everything you need is aboard this ship. Royal Caribbean is extremely organized in all aspects from food service to safety to port regulations. And it shows! For those that are younger and looking for more adult fun (single or married), Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas has that for you too as they have something for everyone! But it's clear that we're not necessarily their target market. Come with a group of folks in your late 20s/early 30s or else risk not seeing too many others in that age bracket. I would use a cruise to get around in places that I may be uncertain about spending a whole week to get a quick feel for the country and its people. It works especially well for travelers who prefer to bounce around from hotel to hotel. This way, there's no packing and repacking. You get one room but you still get to see multiple places.

YesFound it very disrupting to have people coming and going while we were dining and all the cleaning and setting up of the tables as well. We were located very close to the main entrance so everyone had to go by our table when they arrived or left. Following the first night we asked if we could have the same table as we enjoyed the couple we were sitting with as well as the waiters (table 105). We were accommodated. However, every night we had to stand in line, give our room number, move forward to be called to be seated. By the 3rd night we decided to just go in on our own and sit at our table but were told we had to stop and give our room number. We are booked on the Oasis again and have asked for 6:30 seating on Deck 4 or 5 to avoid my-time dining which we will never do again. We hope you do not have plans to make everyone adhere to dining this way as we will stop cruising on Royal Caribbean, if you do. We have achieved Diamond Status and I would like to enjoy the "perks" this brings but not if we have to use "my-time dining."

Beautiful ship with more activities available than a land based all inclusive resort. First rate entertainment. Many dining venues for all meals. Lots of outdoor space for sun bathing and enjoying pools and hot tubs.CONS
Some of staff not as friendly as I have experienced on other ships. Reservations for entertainment was confusing. State rooms are good size, but storage space is limited.RECOMMENDED
YesSimply seeing the ship was an experience as it is so big and beautiful. Even with over 6,000 passengers, the ship is so big that no one place felt crowded. I also really liked having so many different areas to choose from for meals - especially breakfast. Central Park was my favorite area on the ship. It is so well designed, open to the sky with so many beautiful green plants. The evenings spent in Central Park, with a glass of wine, surrounded by the beauty of the plants, looking up at the stars and listening to classical music was the highlight of my trip. I was fortunate that Central Park was located just a short walk from my cabin door. Often ate breakfast in the park at the Park Cafe. However, I did not give the ship a 5 Star rating because we did have some negative experiences. Our Travel Agent made our reservations for the excellent shows on the ship months in advance. Nevertheless, when we arrived for our first show, our seats were already taken because we did not get there in time. I had no idea there was a "time limit" on the reservation. When I asked the staff person about all the seats being taken when we had reservations, he responded "You should have done your research before coming on the ship and you would have known the seats are released if you are not present 10 minutes before the show starts." Feeling very disappointed that we were going to miss the show, I would have appreciated a little more understanding like, "I am sorry you didn't know the policy" instead of a lecture on "doing my research." Considering how many staff I interacted with, overall they were very helpful and friendly, but there were several negative encounters. and that really surprised me as I had not experienced it before on the many cruises I have taken. Also, while the ship is huge with so many different places to go and things to do, there was no "relaxation/reading" area. Since I am not a sun person, I really like a quiet place over looking the water with some quiet music where I can sit and read or just relax during the day. I found the Library, but considering the size of the rest of the ship, it was like a closet! The ship was so big I may have missed that relaxation area, but I did a lot of looking and could not find it.. The Central Park area was quiet and relaxing, but it was also open to the heat during the day. Also, the rooms are a great size even with a small couch in the inside rooms; however, the storage space in the rooms is limited. Nevertheless, I would certainly recommend this ship. Like I said, just seeing the ship in all its beauty is a wonderful experience. The entertainment is excellent. The food was excellent and having the many venues was fun. This ship has something for everyone including families with small children.

Our three kids were never bored, and since we didn't purchase the wi-fi, it was a great week for them to be disconnected and enjoy all of the amenities on the Oasis. Our 16 year old daughter loved the teen gatherings at night, and met some incredible people and has enjoyed staying in touch with them. Our 15 year old loved the sports area, and our pre-teen enjoyed everything! It really never felt like we were on a boat, the Oasis has so many restaurants, shops, nightclubs, and since it is so large we never felt motion sickness! YesI'm looking forward to the Harmony of the Seas next year! This was the second time for me on this ship and because it was so wonderful in 2012, I decided to take my adult children and grandchildren on this trip to celebrate my 80th birthday! The 9 of us had the time of our lives!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

YesGo to guest services and get a hole punched in your Sea Pass Card. Put the card on a lanyard or on something similar for easy access. If you have connecting (inside OR outside) balcony rooms, request the balcony dividers (between rooms) removed so you can have access to your friends rooms without having to go out in the hallway. Make your reservations for the shore excursions PRIOR to getting on the ship.

Great ship, improved dining and terrific staffCONS
St. Thomas excursion disappointedRECOMMENDED
YesWe sailed on Oasis and have seen an improvement in the MDR for both quality and service from our previous experience on Allure. I think Royal is trying to make up for some of the issues with Dynamic Dining. Royal has added a mixologist to the crew and she was responsible for training all the bar staff so there was a consistency and quality for every beverage. We did not get a drink package but the Ultimate does include bottled water (not Evian) so we would consider that in our next sailing. Had a island tour in St. Thomas that was disappointing.

The staff on the Oasis of the Seas was outstanding.CONS
The snorkeling activity in St. Thomas was a joke. St. Thomas was ghetto!RECOMMENDED
YesWe just wished we could have spent more time on the islands (two of them anyway). The "cruising" was a very long experience (from St. Maarten to Fort Lauderdale). The four of us were very disappointed in St. Thomas. It was like a ghetto. A shuttle or taxi was the only way to get to the "town" and shops. The traffic was horrible. Snorkeling with the turtles (St. Thomas) was a huge disappointment. We were only there for about 30 minutes. The bottom of the ocean looked like barren dessert, and we only saw about 3 or 4 turtles briefly....a huge waste of time and $. Also, we did not get to go out on the pirate ship. Nassau was a big surprise for me. I had it pictured differently in my mind. The port city was very colorful, clean and accessible. I would liked to have had a little more time there. St. Maarten was a paradise! The shops were very accessible. The whole little town was so clean and well kept. The beaches were clean and beautiful. The water had so many shades of blue. I only wish we could have spent more time there, and skipped St. Thomas. We all said that our next trip will be to fly to St. Maarten, and rent a condo for a week. The Grand Dinning Room on the Oasis was first class. The food was delicious, and the staff catered to your every whim and need (I am diabetic.) Our room steward was exceptional. He kept kept our room immaculate. The Oasis of the Seas is a vacationers' dream ship. It was out of this world. I would so sail on it again!

The Oasis of the Seas and the Alure of the Seas are the best cruise ships I have ever experienced.CONS
Really can't think of any, other than one week is too short.RECOMMENDED
Yes<div> Our travel agent did all the pre-planning to make this a very stress free vacation for the three couples we traveled with. We were TSA Pre-check at the Air-Port in Raleigh, with our luggage. Great R/T price for flying to Ft. Lauderdale, My agent even made Hotel reservation for us in Ft. Lauderdale. All of our entertainment was pre scheduled, our dinner reservations on ship were pre schedule to coordinate with the on board entertainment each night. It's very important to have all show reservation and Dinner reservation pre planned before you board Ship. The Royal Caribbean ship Oasis of the Seas is one of our favorite Ships because it offers almost anything you can think of for entertainment. It was a great trip and the weather was perfect the entire week.</div>

Too many people. Uninteresting adult afternoon activities. Very little music by the poolsRECOMMENDED
YesThe ship is definitely geared for kids. The water show and the variety show were rather dull with less than good choreography. Windjammer restaurant was a bit unorganized, poor selections(4 different shaped pasta with different sauces, no signs for gluten free entrees or desserts, salad dressings weren't identified. We guessed that the pink chunky one was thousand island and the yellow one was honey mustard. Jr. Suite was nice. Waiter and cabin steward were good. Most meals were good in the dining room---There's always steak! We would not choose that large of a ship again.

Ship is huge, has something for everyone, even with two full days at sea we never got bored. Iternary was excellent, food was excellent and ship was very prepared to manage the 6,000 passangers on board.CONS
There were no details provided regarding which terminal to check in too. We selected the wrong one and just had to get on a bus to go to the next one. Since they have a bus service set up obviously a lot of people have the same issue. Also they posted in print laundry service availability yet cancelled it AFTER we prepared for it.RECOMMENDED
YesThis was a great experience. One could be overwhelmed by the size of the ship but rarely did we ever wait in lines. We signed up for shows upon entry to the ship but all of our requests were lost so be sure and get a printout!

Out waiter and assistant in the Main Dining Room-My Time Deck 5 were the best (Julietta and Alexio). Their friendliness and helpfulness was beyond our expectations. They always made us feel at home and we looked forward to seeing them each evening. The shows we saw on the ship were top notch. Enjoyed all of them.

No<div>There is so much to do on the Oasis. It is the largest cruise ship in the world. All shows on board were outstanding, from comedy shows to the Platters singing and a broadway show hairspray. A water show with olympic medal winners in diving. Diving from heights of over 40 feet in a small landing area in a small pool. Do not miss the Seafood Shack and other restaurants thoughout the ship, where you can eat other than sit down or buffet. The ship has many things to do for children as well. Their own swimming pool area. I would recommend this cruise to all. I will make this cruise again soon.</div>

YesIt really is a great ship. Even with over 6000 passengers we never felt like we were on a ship with that many people. Very well organized. The service on board was the best of any ship I've been on. The cabins are a bit smaller than we are used to and someone we met recommended getting the jr. suite, they are bigger and have walk in closets. We will definitely remember that in the future. In the dining room they put all of the guests' preferences on the computer so no matter which table you are seated they have all your info and bring your drinks and all right away, without asking. It is very much a family ship. Tons and tons of things for the kids to do and also places on the ship for adults only. Loved that. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. The ship is absolutely amazing and you never want for something to do.

During sea days, there should be more sales in different areas of the ship or designated areas for each deck. Crowding was a bit unreal and reminded me of a black Friday sale. Yikes! Need more time in St. Martin, views were amazing!RECOMMENDED
No<div>The cruise ship Oasis of the Seas was more than I could have ever anticipated. First and foremost I like to state I felt safe the entire time. I was impressed by the easy transition and timely effort from ports to boarding. The inside balcony provided views of the water theater, rock climbing, zip lining, and more. I would definitely chose that room again. The three ports of call (Nassau, St. Thomas, & St. Martin) provided enough time for sightseeing, tours, shopping, and eating. There were great deals on jewelry! Take extra money. The dining areas were very clean, and all passengers/staff were asked to use readily available sanitizers. Working in healthcare I had an appreciation for that and fortunately there were no illnesses in our groups. Keep the hand-hygiene going!</div>
