We had a great time on our Alaskan cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The staff made the experience extra special, particularly our room stewards, Wardan and Dewa, Martin, the maitre d at Blu, and Lastra and Zenass, our head waiter and assistant waiter at Blu. It'll be hard to go back to reality after being spoiled for the past week! Thank you to everyone!!

the buffet was not set up very well, just all over the place and watching people walk into each other never stopped at any meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. Would not recommend for a couple that want the peace and quite of the sound of the ocean, to many screaming kids. The best time was sitting on your own deck and being able to hear everything around you. The shows were so loud that people with hearing aid,s had left the theater

<div>No porters in Vancouver to help with bags. Port was chaos compared to Seattle, Miami, LA, etc. Celebrity understaffed for check-in/boarding process. All tours came off usually without a hitch. However, the tour guide on Hilo was a self-proclaimed "professional artist" from Italy. He should find other work. This company was unorganized also. I would not use them again. All other tours were really good. When tour guide is a native, it makes a big difference. Two days in Hilo was at least one (if not two, too many). Would have liked another day elsewhere. Pearl Harbor and Polynesian Culture Center were highlights. Get to the former early (we did) and the Super Ambassador package for the latter as it gets you a personal guide for the day and front row seats for all shows. Could not have been better!</div>

<div>We requested a table for six, but had two additional guests. The staff had to put a wooden board on top to accommodate eight people. This caused the table to be higher and to of us required pillows. It was uncomfortable but our waiter did his best to accommodate us. The women were very nice but were either late to dinner or did not show. We were uncomfortable and they did not show. Bobbie did ask if we wanted to change our location, one table available at the far end of dining room. We chose not to move as this location was better for us.</div>

The ship was well maintained and the service was great. We enjoyed the Select Dining option which allowed us to go to dinner whenever we wanted rather than being locked into a specific time. We never had a problem being seated promptly. We enjoyed sharing tables and meeting a number of interesting people from all over the world. The Beyond the Podium program that Celebrity provides are always interesting and informative. We enjoyed hearing from a mystery writer, Cathy Ace, who was funny and very entertaining. Dr. Wayne, who spoke on the geology and weather of the Caribbean, was also informative and interesting. The Apple classes were also excellent and very well attended. We look for interesting things to do that may not be on the ship's list of things to see. Many of the islands have small local museums which give an insight into the history of the particular island. Visitors should look for these instead of spending all of their time shopping.

The Aqua class room fulfilled every thing that it advertised. The Blu restaurant was so good that our group never went anywhere else to eat for breakfast and dinner even though other options were offered at reduced rates throughout the cruise. The headwaiter took care of us that good! AMAZING!

The food in the Ocean View Café never changed from day to day. It was even the same for lunch as it was for dinner. Some variety would have been nice. The dinners in the dining room at night were good, but I have had better on other cruise ships. There could have been a larger variety of shopping on board. There was very little logo wear to purchase and all of the t-shirts and sweatshirts were from destinations that the cruise did not go to. The ship had a live glass-blowing show put on by Corning Glassworks. It was very impressive to watch and the pieces that they made were auctioned off for charity at the end of the cruise.

My wife and I enjoy the casino, however, after several days of only losing, we were bored. The cruise lines should increase the percentages somewhat so passengers feel they can play longer. We were on a transatlantic cruise with nothing to do. The daytime activities were minimum and it was too cold to use the pool. Bingo was set at $39, which is too high, so hardly anyone went. They had to cancel several days because no one showed up.

This was our fifth Celebrity cruise. Enjoyed this ship so much. So many details have been incorporated into the cabin layouts from drawers in the bathroom and dresser to a night light in the bathroom. Entertainment was super except for one comedian during the first part of the cruise. Wonderful ports. Also, the tours booked through Celebrity were very good - with one exception that was made good by Celebrity with a partial refund back to us for our disappointment in one tour suggested by them. I'd book every cruise with Celebrity if only they went everywhere I want to go! The food is a cut above other mid-priced lines, the service is impeccable, and the cabins are roomy (we pay the little bit extra for the Concierge class, which also gives us priority boarding so no long lines). And they greet you with a glass of champagne when you board! What could be a better way to start a vacation? :-) The review process required that I 'score' everything but I can't really comment on the onboard entertainment or activities because we spent our days snorkeling, swimming and sightseeing (not to mention rum tasting), so we were fast asleep shortly after dinner each night.
