the food, the shows and the cleanliness of the boat and bathrooms was impressive for that amount of people on a boat. And the Staff were excellentCONS
The pool was overwhelming, felt there were too many people on the pool at same timeRECOMMENDED
YesThis was our first Disney cruise and our very first cruise ever as a family. Overall, the trip was fabulous. We felt like all of our needs were beyond fulfilled. It amazed me how operational everything was it felt easy. From the entry to the port, to departure. It was VERY well organized operation. We were fully impressed. Everything was beyond great. The Staff really made us feel special. They were excellent, especially Made who cleaned out room each day, Kenneth & Hafidz our waiters- they were terrific! and Lashaura who we had for lunch and Richard our host during lunch. Each of them made our trip special and went above an beyond to make our trip memorable and an excellent experience. It's bc of them we are considering coming back with our extended family so they too can experience it.

YesMy family did not want this cruise to end, to say the least. From the time we set foot on the port until we exited the ship, we received top-notch service that was second to none. This experience left us wanting MORE, and we cannot wait to cruise again!

The crowded spaces and linesRECOMMENDED
YesI so enjoyed watching the excitement of my grandchildren. The food and service was incredible! Our veranda stateroom was so much more spacious than I expected. Lots of storage and the most comfortable beds. The “adult” areas were amazing for early morning sunrises and late night solitude on the sea. The shows, so incredible and way exceeded my thoughts of what they may be!

Well thought out events, fireworks at sea, Dinning at various restaurants, entertainment for all ages. A promenade. Fabulous and caring staff.CONS
The covid testing requirements were very confusing and boarding was not at all up to the Disney experience. New staff weren't trained sufficiently. The Outlook area is never opened to the public.RECOMMENDED
No<div>The magic of Disney is in the details. From extraordinary shows to interactive pictures, Disney creates an outstanding experience for all who are young at heart. Upon boarding, each family is treated with a personalized welcome and goes through a line of joyous staff. The rooms are well appointed with a separate water closet as well as a bath tub that is perfect for washing little ones. The over 18 crowd can find a respite in a secluded adult area. There are clubs for all ages, even a special 1820 club that has activities for the almost adult group. This is the perfect cruise for multi-generational families who want to vacation together, but may have separate interests for at least part of the day. A diverse cast of characters is met by a diverse group of cruisers. This is truly the line that welcomes all.</div>

The bus from the Hyatt didn’t leave until almost 11. It was after 1:30 by the time we tested and got on the ship. We used to be on the ship by 11:30! Not the end of the world but different . No one’s fault just the times we are in.RECOMMENDED
No<div>I wish the busses could leave at 9 again or even 9:30 as we flew out the day before to get on the ship earlier ! It’s a lot to cram everything in on a four night cruise. We loved the new muster drill routine!</div>

Huge, beautiful ship; Exemplary staffCONS
Silly nickel-and-dime stuff; inconsistent availability for some thingsRECOMMENDED
YesAfter the WDW Marathon weekend, a Disney Cruise escape was just the ticket. And the Castway Cay Challenge 5K would be an extra bonus. It was our first time on one of the "new" DCL ships, having cruised on the Magic and Wonder previously, and we appreciated the larger scale while keeping the intimate feel and design. The staff and crew were, of course, amazing in all ways. Our only negatives were the tendency to nickel-and-dime in small ways. Things like overcharging for shipboard photos and wifi. Having only two beverage dispensers for the entire ship. Charging for popcorn at the movie theater. These are all easily fixable and would enhance the cruise experience in small but noticeable ways. But overall we had a fantastic time and are looking forward to our next Disney Cruise.

Waitstaff catered to kids, so they remained entertained throughout dinnerCONS
Not enough waitstaff to serve dinner courses in a timely mannerRECOMMENDED
NoCan't say enough about how well Disney caters to children! The characters all around the ship, the 'magic' tricks and origami the waiters did, the Castaway Cay amenities, the overall decor. Can't say the same for their attention to adults. We waited over an hour between being seated for dinner and finally being served our main course, and the din in Animator's Palate another night made conversation impossible. Food was decent but not great (except desserts - they were fabulous!) For the price we paid, I expected really great food. I was disappointed. The cabins are spacious and well-appointed. The overall decor of the ship is lovely. My grandchildren's enjoyment was priceless, but I'd never do this again - the value for the money, except for little kids or total Disney-philes, is just nowhere near that of other cruise lines that are priced much lower.

No<div>My kids have been on other cruise lines and they loved the kids camp. They didn’t enjoy the kids club on Disney which means I didn’t get any sort of break. There’s so many people that the lines for everything become rift. It was about 30min per character, lines for dinner, lines even for bathrooms. The service is amazing along with the food. The shows are great and the ship is extremely clean. We were exhausted by dinner and didn’t do much after that.</div>

So much to do...so little time for the size of the ship. The pool is too small. It can be rather pricy so it makes it hard to cruise as often as we would like.RECOMMENDED
No<div>We love sailing Disney. I have sailed on the Dream twice (out of 4 cruises), both times as a plant based/vegan eater. The food has been amazing as well as the service. We sailed concierge this trip and we were totally spoiled. My 9 year old loves the kids’ club. The only complaint is we had to get off the ship. The ship (along with all the ships in Disney’s fleet) are well maintained and super clean. It is easy to get around, the shows are Broadway worthy.</div>

I will do a cruise again and already thinking about which one to do. I also met a couple of women that said they have done cruises on other liners and would do disney above any of them.

YesThis was our best vacation ever!!! Disney truly is magical. Our daughter is 5 years old and she was the perfect age. She was so excited to see all of the characters. She just barely made the height requirement to ride the AquaDuck which she loved. Our 14 year old son loved Vibe (the teen club) One of our stops was in Nassau. I would suggest to Disney that we not stop at Nassau and let us dock 2 days at Castaway Cay. One day was not enough. Everything in the ship was spotless. All the staff were friendly. Overall, the cruise itself was done with excellence!CONS
Shutters confusion. / Rushed check in that was also confusing.RECOMMENDED
YesThe cruise itself was wonderful... hard to even describe! From the arrival on the ship and seeing her in all her beauty, to the wonderful food, to the cleanliness and the exceptional rooms! Every detail was thought out to the nine! Impressed would be an understatement. The downsides we experienced were... #1- The professional pics. Our photo was taken numerous times while on board, but when going to Shutters, there was scarcely anyone there. We viewed our photos a few times, but never knew "how this worked". Besides, we wanted to make sure ALL the photos were taken before making a selection (when was the final one taken???). So we figured it would be the typical - "get your pictures here!" before departing the ship, but no. Nothing was ever mentioned. The day before leaving was pretty much like this... Castaway Cay, then board & shower / get ready for final dinner, last minute shopping, (wasn't even able to catch the last production - not enough time), then dinner on the late rotation. After that was a mad dash to the room to get things packed up & ready to be sent for luggage services (which we were slightly late on - not enough time after dinner). Then Shutters was closed. So, we naturally figured they would be "pushing" the photos before leaving the ship, but we were told - up early, breakfast at 8 am, then exit the ship. So... we did. Still thinking surely maybe they'd be pushing the photos as you leave or something, but nothing was ever said. We departed never getting any photos (and we WANTED them!). #2 - The only other thing, and this was the biggest issue we had.... was the checking in process... we'd never cruised before (none of us), so we were new to the process. We felt very rushed at check in. There's a lot to cover and we expected that there would be some sort of "checklist" or something that they'd go through... after all... they're in this business and we haven't a clue what we're doing. But we were told by our travel agent that we could set up how we wanted our funds to be processed... whether we wanted to do cash or a particular credit card. Nothing was ever mentioned when checking in about how we wanted our funds to be set up. And there was so much to cover that we didn't remember everything ourselves... so our funds wound up being taken off a card that we didn't want to be used (the one we initially purchased the cruise on). I do wish they'd cover all the bases for the guests and be sure they're taken care of in every way. That was a blow that was very upsetting.

YesThe entertainment was, for the most part, awesome. Geared around children, of course. Our 2 year old grand daughter sat through the entire show without getting bored! If you wanted to spend time in the cabin, it was nice. Best movie selection I have ever seen on any ship. The food was good but, we didn't feel the selection was great. We had beef almost every night for dinner. I have never been on a cruise that did not offer lobster until now! Ship was beautiful but again, what I would expect from Disney! We feel it was over priced considering it really was not much better than other cruise lines we have been on, even Carnival or Norwegian!
