YesMy wife and I took our first Disney Cruise last week. We went with our friends and their daughter. We had a wonderful time. The Pros. The service was great and the cabin was a good size and the bed was comfortable. We received excellent services from the crew, especially our dining and stateroom team. They tended to our needs and in some cases, went above and beyond what we expected. Palo restaurant was outrageously good. Definitely a must go! However, there were some cons. First, the temperature in the Animators Palate dining room was a bit warm. Not sure if the air conditioning wasn't working properly or not, but it was warmer in that dining room than all the others. Also at the Animators Palate, the food was not as good as the other dining room. The quality and taste was below what is expected for Disney's quality. Overall, we had an excellent time. The service was excellent. Overall, the dining experience and quality was excellent, with the exception of the experience in the Animators Palate.

efficiency of lines, dinner, wait times, workers, etc. One real pro that stuck out for us was that the nightly shows, they were a bit too loud & scared our toddler, but that may just be our babe. They were fantastic shows.CONS
would like more food options at dinner, maybe geared more towards the boring eaters, or keep the buffet open at dinner time.RECOMMENDED
YesWe had a wonderful time. Our staff was excellent. I couldn't believe for as many people that were on the ship how smooth everything went. We already placed our placeholder for a cruise next year. With a toddler, this is the perfect vacation. Ship was very very very clean.

Getting off the boat at check out it tricky with lots of linesRECOMMENDED
YesWe had the most magical vacation on the Disney Fantasy. Kids 13, 10 and 7 all loved it and were in tears as we debarked because they did not want it to end. Every port adventure booked through disney was very seamless and easy. Dinner service was great your waiters rotate restaurants with you and each restaurant was a delicous 4 course meal. They entained the kids with magic tricks, riddles, brain teaser games and organmi. The rooms were cleaned twice a day. Plenty of entertainment for all ages including kids club. I get car sick and motion sickness very easily and had no issues on the boat. We had 8 days of great weather and were told by staff that December is the best weather on all island. We got one stateroom for all 5 of us and there way plenty of room with a queen bed and 3 single beds.

YesI am glad it was a once in a lifetime trip. I could have gone on three cruises for the price the disney cruise cost. I was looking at a future disney cruise and saw it was 6k a person. Again great cruise but not worth the money.

YesSo I didn’t pay full price for this cruise, and I’m so glad I didn’t. If I would have it wouldn’t have been worth the price. The room was amazing! The concierge staff was not all amazing. The spa was almost insulting because they always wanted to up sell you so much on weight loss products, and detoxing stuff. I was very uncomfortable with their overpriced services. The entertainment was wonderful! The dining team was AMAZING! Swimming with the dolphins in St. Thomas at Coral World was 100% worth the cost!

YesWe had a great time on our latest Disney Cruise. You pay more for a Disney cruise, but we feel it is worth it. The broadway quality shows and entertainers they provide are top-notch. The ship is incredibly well-kept and the staff so accommodating. We love the rotational dining and the fact that our table staff move with us each night. We truly get to know them. Disney’s private island Castaway Cay is always a highlight of the trip. We are already dreaming of our next adventure!

I would give this ship a "5" for a family cruise. My granddaughter loves all things Disney. Castaway Cay is a magnificent beach. Covid protocols strictly enforced and I felt very safe from getting the virus. Extremely clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and energetic. The bathroom facilities are divided into two rooms. One has a toilet and sink, the other has a bathtub and sink. This works well with little kids who take baths.CONS
I would give this ship a "1" for an seniors only cruise. Too much emphasis on communicating through phone apps. They've discontinued printed daily schedules and we had to request menus in the dining rooms. I did not care for the bathtub. It was slippery, and I did not feel safe getting in and out of it. If I ever take another Disney cruise I might request an accessible room just because of this.RECOMMENDED
YesNote that my rating is the average between how I view the Fantasy for a family cruise vs. for a seniors cruise. We were on a family cruise and it was a great ship for this trip.

YesIf you have kids that are into Disney and their related entities (Marvel, Star Wars, etc.) then this is a great option for a family vacation. The breakfast and dinners were good. Lunch was ok. I'm not into stage shows but they were decent. The movies on the ship were good - mainly recent movies such as Dumbo, Alladin, Captain Marvel and Avengers: End Game. The kids enjoyed the kids club, pools and the Aqua Duck.

YesWe are experienced cruisers multiple cruise lines, 20 plus cruises. We just didn’t feel we got the bang for our buck. The staff was fabulous. The dining experience was extremely entertaining and our waiters were incredible. We had issues with our room. The bathroom was not cleaned properly (looked clean but smelled like a gas station restroom). Other issues with our stateroom steward. Good cruise for family with young children but feel otherwise the value isn’t there. Would NOT recommend this cruise for older kids and adults.

Recommendation depends if you are travelling with children or grandchildren, if not - look elsewhere. The opening show was embarrassing. Family therapy thru cruising. The headline acts - magician from Maple Ridge and ventriloquist were the best I have seen at sea. They could have done with a lot more lectures for the adults on board. Maybe too many people?RECOMMENDED
YesIt's such a large ship, but Disney's magic can make everything work (and I mean Everything!) .... except fitting that many people into the pool and sun deck area during the multiple days at sea. After the first day at sea my seven year old son was not interested in the pool area at all because it was simply too crowded. And I honestly wouldn't know how they could make that any better. Other than that, the whole experience was pretty perfect, and my son didn't miss the pool and sun deck anyway with so many other activities to keep him engaged and entertained. The entire staff and crew seems to have a single minded dedication to the happiness of every guest on the ship. We've already reserved a spot on a Disney cruise in the future.

YesWe had a great trip on the Disney Fantasy. The staff are superb at catering to the needs of your little travelers and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious and the kids enjoyed spending time in the Oceaneer's Club which gave Mom and Dad a nice break! Our Cruise included a Star Wars Day at Sea which was very well done and thoroughly enjoyed by both kids and adults. I do wish there had been more character experiences with Star Wars day as it would have been fun to get photos with more of the characters and had more than just one day to interact with them. My only real complaint is that the family pools are very small and seemed to be closed a lot during our days at sea. The kids would have been extremely content floating around the pool but there wasn't really room for that. They loved the Aquaduck waterslide though so that made up for some of it. We loved our day at Castaway Cay - wish we could have had more time there. I would have gladly stayed there another day.

YesWe had a fantastic time on our cruise. The weather was great and the ship was pretty incredible. Our stateroom with verandah was spacious and allowed four of us to move about easily. Sleeping arrangements were also great. We will never cruise without a verandah again. Every employee greets you every time they pass you by. The work they do is impeccable. Our room was spotless and our dinner servers were great! The rotational dining is pretty cool. We were very lucky to dine in Animator's Palate three times. We highly recommend you request that your first dining night occur in Animator's Palate so you can hit it three times. Overall, the food was just OK for what we expected. There was a lot of variety for dinner and that was probably the best food. Breakfast was fine. It's buffet style with lots of choices but nothing really special. Flo's Diner was average food at best but was definitely the kids' favorite place. We did not pay extra to dine in Palo or Remy but our table mates did and said it was incredible. There are several pools between the family area and the adult only area. They were all fine and different. The kids loved the Aquaduck and found that evenings allowed for continual riding. While docked at St Maarten, we were docked next to another cruise ship. It had far more variety of water slides and activities to do than the Fantasy. Still not a deal breaker, though, as our shipped looked magnificent in comparison. There are two large kids clubs that boast many activities from video games to arts and crafts. You can choose to allow your kids to be checked in and out by parents or allow them to come and go on their own. Our kids are 8 and 11 so we let them be free. Unfortunately they did not hang there much. The biggest complaint was the high number of kids under 8 which made it unappealing for our almost 12 and almost 9 year old. Our 11 year old did not hang out in the tween club. In the end, we decided that Disney cruises were likely the only cruise line that we would let our kids roam free on. If we try a cruise on a different cruise line, we will have to play it by ear as to their freedom. As for costs, we were not unhappy about the price we did pay. We were very unhappy about the sudden policy change that used to allow adults to bring alcohol onboard. Additionally, we found Disney's customer service over the phone and on their Facebook page to be almost nonexistent. While most companies interact with customers on FB, Disney chooses not to at all. There are people asking questions on their page and nothing is answered. It's like a ghost town. Very odd. It feels like a "once we have their money..." kind of thing. You should also know that you will be surrounded by Disnay fanatics. Lots of Mickey ears, costumes, and princess dresses on kids and adults alike. In the end, if you can afford it, go for it. It was a great experience. If you can't afford it, there are many other great options that will take you to the same ports and probably serve better food for half the cost.

YesYou are paying for the magic that only Disney can create. Interactions with the characters are so much fun...Ariel personally escorted my daughter to the kids club! The service is the best we've ever had and the ship is the cleanest we've ever been on. We had a ocean view room with a huge window and window seat. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only possible negative is the food was anywhere from so-so to really good (not poor enough to keep us from gaining several pounds!). We have had better food on other cruise lines, but the rest of the experience more than made up it. They have 2 big halloween shows and trick-or-treating in October so you may want to bring costumes. The shows we saw were fantastic! My husband (who usually doesn't care that much for cruises) loved it and now highly recommends Disney. I am SO glad we spent the extra money and took our girls while it was still magical for them.
