PROS

Great Itinerary, mostly excellent shore excursions, friendly accommodating staff

CONS

Older ship, stinky bathroom, food mediocre

RECOMMENDED

Yes

Mostly we loved this cruise. Diverse scenery and rich history made included tours very good. Optional tours were a mixed bag. Winery tour was a huge disappointment, but alpaca farm tour was sweet and fun. Pendleton tour was extremely interesting. Cape Disappointment was quite informative re: Lewis and Clark expedition. Hell’s Canyon boat trip in Clarkston the day before boarding the ship was a blast. Food was also a mixed bag. Some meals were delicious, others barely edible. At the hotel where we stayed for pre nights in Clarkston the meals were outstanding. Our stateroom was spacious, but not as large as we have had on newer ships on ACL. Our bathroom had a “urine” smell even after being thoroughly cleaned and the shower curtain changed. Cabin steward was attentive to our requests. Entertainment was all right. A duo, Rio Soul, performed for 3 nights were mostly good. A Cowboy Singer performed. He was fabulous. Other duos sang that were entertaining. Staff members were enthusiastic and friendly. Cruisers were older, I would guess average age 65, but mostly active and engaged. I highly recommend this itinerary, but maybe in one of the newer ships
