Since 1962, Curtain Bluff has welcomed guests to this iconic property positioned between two beautiful bays and Antigua's' only rainforest.

This all inclusive property is set in fifteen acres of beach and gardens that create spectacular vistas for the 72 rooms and suites scattered up the bluff, where cooling sea breezes render air conditioning unnecessary even though it is available.

The roomy accommodations are ideal for couples and families, and both children and adults will find plenty to keep them amused here. Four floodlit tennis courts and three resident pros will help improve your own game, or there's squash, yoga, swimming in the 75 foot pool, croquet and a full range of motorized and non-motorized water sports. Guests can enjoy the hotel's many activities from swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing and tennis, squash, stand up paddleboard, yoga, pilates, water aerobics and working out in the gym. The hotel's two beaches invite rest and relaxation. Lounge near the swimming pool and the bar area, with its chaise lounges and thatched umbrellas, and enjoy beach concierge service.

Renew your energy at either of the two restaurants. The Tamarind formal dining restaurant is our signature dining option, dress code required, serves full breakfast and gourmet dinner daily and this is accompanied with live entertainment from a different band every night. If you are looking for a more relaxing beach dining experience the Seagrape is an excellent choice where a buffet / a' la Carte lunch is served daily and once a week are treated to a Caribbean luncheon (complete with steel band) and five nights a week is transformed into an intimate Italian fare restaurant. For wine connoisseurs you can sample wines from our prodigious wine cellar with around 450 different vintages to choose from!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Our 72 spacious suites and guestrooms run along the palm-shaded, white-sand Surf Beach and rise up the rocky promontory that gives the resort its name. Either right on the sand or just a few steps from it, all our accommodations have breathtaking, gaze-all-day views. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows and verandahs or ground-floor terraces look out over the beach and across the sea to a lush-green headland.

At night, the scene is a canopy of stars and the only sound is the rhythm of the waves. Inside, the accommodations are decorated in a "simply-elegant" tropical style, complete with all the modern luxuries from air-conditioning and over-sized soaking tubs to wood-paneled ceilings, refrigerators and high-speed Internet access. In keeping with the timeless ambiance of the resort, there are no TVs in the rooms (there are two dedicated television rooms elsewhere on the property).

Sleeping arrangements are designed for a couple sharing a king-sized bed. For larger groups there is a lot of flexibility. The king-sized beds can be converted into two twins. Couches can be made into beds for young children sharing a room or suite with their parents. Rooms and suites can be linked together to create the perfect configuration for your needs (up to four bedrooms). Deluxe Ocean View Rooms

UPPER FLOOR beachfront rooms with connecting pairs, offer king beds and sliding glass doors that open onto the balcony overlooking the beach.
Junior Suites

All forty suites, in two-story buildings, are situated on the surf beach and boast breathtaking views. The bedroom with king size bed, extends to a sunken living room with a mini library of vacation reading.
Grace & Morris Bay Suites

Generously proportioned and the ultimate in luxury, the bedroom and separate living room look out on a large inviting terrace with jacuzzi and glamorous outdoor furniture. The large bathroom is crafted in granite and marble.
Bluff Rooms

Our Executive Deluxe room on the bluff offers a king size bed, large terrace and marble bathroom. For families requiring two bedrooms, the Executive Deluxe Room can be attached to an Executive Suite. The terrace affords a sweeping view of the surf beach and ocean.
Terrace Pool Suite

The honeymoon suite", the Terrace Suite is one of a kind, located at the top of the Bluff, with an amazing view of the beach, Morris Bay and the Caribbean Sea. It has a huge terrace for private sunbathing and dining, with a beautiful private pool.

Very few resorts can claim the quality and beauty of the courts, the tennis program, pros, equipment and events that you find at Curtain Bluff.Our Tennis Center has four championship hard courts centered around a Pro Tennis shop an easy lob shot from the sea. All are in impeccable condition and lit for night play. Our three resident pros -- Rennie, Nigel and Dillo -- are trained in the U.S. to teach aptitudes right up to 5.5 (nearly a pro) and ready at 7:00 AM to take a guest's challenge, pair guests together for a game, or work on that backhand. Private lessons cost $US 70 per hour. Their enthusiasm and gentle manner is one of the reasons that many of our guests call our tennis program the best in the region.Making full use of this extraordinary facility, Curtain Bluff hosts tennis- oriented events throughout the year, including three multi-day camps - the Tennis Challenge, Fantasy Tennis Camp, and Antigua Tennis Week - aimed at all aptitudes from enthusiastic beginner to seasoned pro. Run by celebrities of the game, these camps are the perfect blend of on-court action (clinics, tournaments, etc.), social gatherings, and free time to enjoy the resort's world-class facilities and the attractions of Antigua.

Over 200 brides have chosen to get married at Curtain Bluff, secure in the knowledge that our mix of location and customization is unbeatable. Wendy Eardley, wedding-veteran and the resort's Resident Manager, personally organizes all the details. To ensure you get all the attention you deserve, we never schedule more than one wedding a day. The ceremonies take place at sunset, either on the patio of the Bluff House (with the sea on both sides) or on the Bay Beach down by the Sea Grape restaurant. After the excitement of the big day, the honeymoon begins (no airports, no travel frustrations) and the newly-weds can spend quality time with family and friends.Add it all up and the price is much more affordable than a comparable wedding at home. Prices (valid as at 2023, please contact hotel for updated pricing) start at just $US3,500 for the marriage license, round-trip taxi transfers to complete paper work, wedding officer's fees, a cocktail reception following the ceremony, and a wedding cake. Wendy and her capable staff can assemble all the extras you could ever want (decorator, flowers, band, photographer and videographer, special menu, etc.). Book more than 10 rooms and special group rates apply. Tamarind Restaurant

Open-walled in the traditional plantation style, our main restaurant looks out over a terrace canopied by the spreading limbs of a majestic tamarind tree.

At breakfast the restaurant is shaded from the bright morning sun and cooled by a breeze from the sea, just visible through the palms. The menu includes favorites like banana pancakes, French toast and Eggs Benedict, plus traditional island dishes, fresh juices and fruit. All breads, croissants and pastries are freshly baked by our accomplished pastry chef.

At dinner the tables are flecked with candlelight and the terrace sparkles with decorative lights. Changing every night, the five-course menu always includes salads, locally caught fish, outstanding meats, healthy options and so many desserts they have their own menu. Each evening there is a different live band and, as diners filter out of the restaurant to sit at the terrace tables, the tempo builds and couples dance in the moonlight.

Dress Code:
Breakfasts are casual. For dinner, gentlemen must wear slacks ( no jeans) and a collared shirt and dress shoes. Ladies: denim shorts are not permitted
Seagrape Restaurant

Our other restaurant sits at the far end of the Bay Beach, open to the sea breezes, right on the sand, and just feet from the water's edge.
At lunchtime, guests filter in from the beach wearing T-shirts and beach cover-ups to enjoy our famous lunch buffets (including the weekly beach-barbeque lunch accompanied by a live steel-drum band).
At night, open 3 to 5 times per week (based on time of the season), the Sea Grape becomes a second dinner venue. Limited to just 50 guests per night, it serves delicious Mediterranean / Antiguan influenced cuisine as tiki torches flicker on the sand and the sea is streaked by moonlight.

Dress Code:
Lunches are casual, swimsuit cover-ups are recommended. For dinner, gentlemen may wear dress shorts or smart pants and a collared shirt and dress shoes. Ladies: denim shorts are not permitted
