Hawks Cay Resort, an iconic destination resort in the Florida Keys, reopened in August 2018 following a $50 million renovation. A recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and a member of the Preferred Hotel Group Lifestyle Collection, this 60-acre, tropical destination boasts 177 guestrooms and 210 two- and three-bedroom villas, a full-service marina, six restaurants, saltwater lagoon, five swimming pools, kid and teen clubs and spa.

Situated roughly halfway between Key Largo and Key West alongside the aquamarine water of the Atlantic Ocean, guests enjoy offshore, flats and backcountry fishing; diving; kayaking; standup paddleboarding programs; Hawks Cay tennis program and the only resort-based Dolphin Connection program with complimentary daily viewings in the continental U.S.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Number of Rooms: 387

The main hotel has 177 guestrooms, each equipped with wireless Internet access, large flat-panel 55” LCD TVs and oversized tumbled marble showers and baths. Guestrooms incorporate a modern style to an island ambiance with soft hues and tropical accents throughout.

Natural elements celebrate the resort’s island location with inspiration from the ocean and lifestyle that surrounds Duck Key. Most accommodations have balconies with ocean views or direct access to the adults-only pool in Oasis Cay or the main Resort Pool. There are eight room categories: Hawks Cay Guest Room (King/2 Queens), Family Guestroom, Water View Guestroom (King/2 Queens), Water View Lanai Guestroom (King/2 Queens), Captain Suites, One-Bedroom Presidential Suite and Two-Bedroom Penthouse Suite.

A collection of 210 two- and three-bedroom Hawks Cay Villas are perfect for groups and families. Most villas feature complete kitchens with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances and oversized decks with water views.

The Hawks Cay Guestroom – 2 Queens 5th Sleeper is a 376-square-foot guest room perfect for Florida Keys family vacations. On the docks of Hawks Cay marina is a place where families can come together, friends can hang out and fish stories can definitely be swapped. It’s called Angler & Ale, and we invite you to stop in for some great food and the coldest draft beer in the lower latitudes. Order off our menu loaded with Florida Keys specialties. Located just off the pool deck, Hawks Cay Marketplace is the go-to place for fresh, quick, family-friendly food, snacks, and to-go beverages! Offering grab and go options, Starbucks beverages, breakfast buffet and boxed lunches to keep you moving in a day packed with activity, or simply enjoy your grab and go meals around the pool, your room or on the patio overlooking the main pool.
Oasis Cay

Secluded among the palm fronds, away from the sounds of kids frolicking in the lagoon, is an adults-only poolside oasis. Oasis Cay is your place to relax in serene seclusion while sipping on a tropical concoction. Oasis Cay is an adults-only spot serving specialty drinks right to your lounge chair or private cabana.
Tiki Grill

Relax in a chaise lounge by the saltwater lagoon while the kids have a blast splashing in the pool. And when hunger strikes, no need to give up your perfect position in paradise. Tiki Grill serves up tropical cocktails, cold beer, great sandwiches and fresh salads right to your lagoon or poolside setup. Our helpful staff are circulating and ready to take your order, or you can walk up to our Florida Keys tiki bar and order from the bartender. Coral Grill

Coral Grill is open seasonally. One of the most popular dining spots at Hawks Cay, Coral Grill is situated between the family-friendly hangout, Coral Cay and the popular Pirate Ship Pool where babies and toddlers love to splash around. Perfect for families and guests who are enjoying the outdoors whether it be the 18-hole putting course, the basketball court or sand volleyball court, Coral Grill offers casual fare including hot sandwiches, wraps, burgers , PB&Js and of course ice cream. For adults, a full bar serving Hawks Cay signature cocktails such as the popular Goombay Smash in addition to imported and domestic beers ensures the kids aren’t the only ones allowed to enjoy their favorite treats.
