Polynesian handicrafts are known for their extreme sophistication. Polynesian craftsman (or "mama") creates hats, baskets and mats with pandanus and coconut tree leaves. All items showcasing their skills and dexterity.

InterContinental Resorts lets you discover the cultural treasures of French Polynesia...We organize various demonstrations focused on the local handicraft such as pareu dyeing demonstration, tifaifai quilt making demonstration, flower and shell lei making demonstration and basket weaving demonstration.

Craft mini-market

Two times a week, local craftsmen and women display their beautiful work for you to admire and purchase. Their market is organized in the magnificent garden facing the lagoon where you can treat yourself to a flower lei, a wicker hat or hand made jewels. The InterContinental Resort and Thalasso Spa Bora Bora redefines the traditional overwater bungalow concept by offering 70 luxurious Overwater Villas, 5 Overwater Pool Villas Beach View, 5 Overwater Pool Villas Lagoon View, and 4 palatial Teremoana Pool Villas.

Each of the Overwater Villas encompass 1033 square feet in space, including the terraces that overlook the clear blue waters of the lagoon and the stunning scenery of Bora Bora. In the bedroom, the king size bed can be converted to two twin beds; in the living room, the sofa also separates into two twin beds. Of the ten Overwater Villas that feature private plunge pools, the Overwater Pool Villas Beach View look out over the motu, and the Overwater Pool Villas Lagoon View have a view of the lagoon and the horizon. Each villa can accommodate up to two adults and two children.

The Teremoana Pool Villas are situated at the end of the pontoons for the maximum in privacy and luxury. They can be configured with one bedroom, at 2,355 square feet (including the 1140-square-foot terrace), or with two bedrooms at 3,465 square feet (including the 1162-square-foot terrace).

This restaurant opens onto the patio and out to the lagoon, with a gracious landscaped terrace, stepping down to the beach. In beautifully designed and relaxing Polynesian tropical decor, it features Mediterranean cuisine and is open from 6:30 am to 10:30 am for breakfast and 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for dinner. Air conditioned room available.
Polynesian dance shows with dinner buffet are held Monday and Friday nights. There are musicians every night.
BUBBLE'S Bar & Terrace

This trendy bar overlooks the beach, the lagoon and spectacular Mount Otemanu. Comfortable and cozy it is the ideal spot to meet and relax anytime of the day. Drinks, exotic cocktails and light snacks are served from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Happy Hour is daily from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Musicians play nightly.
SAND'S Bar & Restaurant

Ideally located on the resort’s private 1000 feet of white sand beach, it is the perfect rendez-vous place for light meals or snacks as well as exotic cocktails. Lunch is served from Noon till 3:00, featuring salads, a salad bar, grill and sandwiches, followed by "Coffee Shop" hours from 3:00 to 6:30 pm, offering salads and sandwiches. Dinner is served from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Le Corail Gourmet Restaurant

An air-conditioned, gourmet restaurant overlooking the lagoon and over-water chapel. Dinner-only a la carte and degustation menus. Le Corail offers an exotic dessert menu, bar and French Polynesia's largest wine cellar. Open from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, during high season April to November.
SOUTH BEACH BAR

Situated near the beach under the shade of coconut palms and pandanus beach umbrellas, South Beach Bar serves cocktails, smoothies and snacks from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
SANDS Beach Lounge

Elegant beach lounges dot the white sand at the Sands Beach Lounge. Relax with a cocktail or glass of wine any time of day. It's a great place to watch the sunset. Open 12:00 noon to 9:30 pm; Happy Hour is from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
