The opulent décor of the hotel lobby provided an ideal setting for the television series ''Hotel'', one of the many major motion pictures and television shows to have been filmed at The Fairmont San Francisco.

San Francisco Centre
The San Francisco Centre is home to over 65 stores, including Nordstrom. This shopping mall is about 10 blocks away from The Fairmont San Francisco, and boasts the World's only spiral escalator. Following are some of the stores available:

Located a few short blocks from The Fairmont San Francisco is one of the finest shopping areas west of Fifth Avenue. Every store imaginable from Neiman Marcus and Saks to Macy's and Gump's is steps from our front door. Union Street Shops
