Through our explorations, you can visit from Cusco to Machu Picchu, passing by remote villages, archaeological sites such as Ollaytantambo, Moray, Chinchero and Pisac, and this region’s high peaks, like La Verónica or Incañan. Built amid Inca remains and terraces, our hotel is located in one of the remotest haciendas of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The lands have an ancient cornfield and the Casa de Baños Pumacahua, a colonial mansion that belonged to Peru’s hero, Mateo Pumacahua, and the current location of the hotel’s Spa. All of this makes explora Valle Sagrado a unique site in the region.

All our hotel rooms have views to the corn plantations and mountains surrounding the valley. In order to withdraw from everyday life, daily activities must be left behind. Thus, our rooms are not equipped with WiFi, television or minibars.

The gastronomic experience in Explora in the Sacred Valley of the Incas was developed exclusively by the renowned Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez, owner of the fourth best restaurant in the world, according to The World’s Best Restaurants 2021 ranking.

Directions

Explora is located in one of the region's most remote ancient corn plantations close to the Urquillos village in the heart of the Sacred Valley. It is sheltered and surrounded by might Andes mountains that were once the home of the great Inca Empire. Urquillos is a 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Cusco Airport and 2 hours 30 minutes from Machu Picchu.
